With the theme “Transforming Teacher Education and Teaching: Embracing Change and Innovation”, the 10th International Conference on Learning and Teaching 2026 (ICLT 2026) will be held on 21 – 23 April 2026 at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) in a face-to-face format with on-site conferencing for all registered participants.

The Education Summit 2026 convenes leaders from higher education and technology to explore how higher education can flourish in a rapidly changing world. This year’s theme focuses on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cross-Cultural Intelligence intersect to shape the future of learning, education-industry collaboration, and global citizenship.

This workshop is designed for primary school teachers and focuses on using Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat effectively in everyday teaching to enhance lesson preparation and classroom interaction. The session covers the essential digital skills teachers require, including simple yet practical activity design, as well as effective strategies for managing technology in day‑to‑day teaching scenarios. Through demonstrations and hands‑on practice, the workshop will guide teachers on how to use Copilot Chat to generate learning materials, adapt classroom activities, and support pupil learning, enabling technology to integrate naturally into the teaching process and improve overall teaching quality.

This seminar focuses on the practical considerations schools face when implementing AI enhanced teaching. It explores how artificial intelligence can be integrated naturally into existing instructional frameworks without increasing teachers’ workload. The content will address common challenges such as technical barriers, curriculum integration and instructional management, and will outline how an AI platform with multilingual understanding and high accuracy content generation can support lesson activities, task design and independent learning. The seminar will also present practical strategies for applying AI in teaching, including aligning AI use with existing teaching materials and assessment arrangements, as well as employing AI to analyse student learning data. This enables teachers to better understand students’ ability distribution, common errors and learning needs, allowing for more precise instructional adjustments and enhancing overall teaching and learning effectiveness.

In the context of rapid developments in artificial intelligence, many teachers are increasingly concerned about its impact on teaching and learning. Hong Kong Education City will host the seminar “From AI Fundamentals to Generative AI Applications: Essential AI Foundations for Teachers”, aimed at supporting educators in understanding the role of AI as a digital teaching assistant and integrating it into daily classroom practices without increasing workload, thereby enhancing overall teaching and learning effectiveness.

本講座將介紹自建校內人工智能系統在行政管理及教學設計中的實際應用，協助教師了解如何運用科技改善日常工作流程。內容包括示範如何在校內架設 AI 系統，用於整合行事曆、會議記錄及學生資料，並支援課節查詢、代課編排等常見行政任務。同時，講座亦會展示 AI 在備課、出題及批改方面的操作示例，說明如何根據學習數據生成具差異化的教材，以照顧不同能力學生的需要。透過這些示範，教師將能掌握 AI 在備課流程、課堂互動及學習支援中的角色，並思考如何在日常教學中作出適切的應用。
