SpeakEasy

SpeakEasy is an English speaking and conversation platform designed specifically for local primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong, developed in alignment with the Hong Kong curriculum. It empowers both students and teachers and enhances the overall effectiveness of English learning and teaching. The platform provides students with a wide range of dialogue content and offers both individual and group practice modes, allowing students to engage in simulated conversations with AI or practise speaking English with their classmates. After each practice session, the system provides instant feedback on pronunciation, word choice and grammar, and adjusts and recommends personalised practice content based on each student’s English level and learning needs. At the same time, the AI automatically records students’ practice frequency, performance and progress, building a clear learning profile that helps students review their own learning, and enables teachers to more easily grasp overall learning conditions and common areas of weakness.

From the teacher’s perspective, the platform automatically organises and analyses students’ practice records and performance, and presents the learning data in clear charts and reports, enabling teachers to monitor both individual students and whole-class practice patterns, participation levels and progress over time. With these insights, teachers can quickly identify common weaknesses among different students and design targeted speaking tasks for individuals or groups, aligning more flexibly with school-based English teaching plans and enabling truly differentiated and data-informed instruction. Teachers can also assign, collect and manage oral homework and classroom activities directly on the platform, such as specific scenario-based dialogues, short speech recordings or group discussion tasks, thereby reducing preparation and marking time while maintaining continuous tracking of students’ performance.
