Hong Kong Education City Limited (EdCity) is a wholly-owned company of the Government of HKSAR. Our portal, EdCity.hk, is a one-stop professional educational portal in Hong Kong which incorporates information, resources, interactive communities and online services, and promotes the use of information technology (I.T.) in improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning. We are now looking for a high caliber professional to join our dynamic team in the following position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for project and product development aligning with organizational goals and best practices to drive innovation and growth across all corporate initiatives;
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, including ideation, planning, design, development, testing, and launch, ensuring successful delivery of EdTech platforms, operational systems, and digital solutions for the education sector;
- Define and manage workflows, templates, and metrics to streamline project execution and ensure consistency and alignment across all product development efforts;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget, balancing business needs with technical feasibility;
- Spearhead automation initiatives for internal systems and processes to improve operational efficiency, enhance product development timelines, and deliver scalable solutions;
- Conduct and oversee functional and performance testing for products and platforms, ensuring seamless integration of new features, technologies, and system upgrades;
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to project and product development, providing solutions to overcome challenges and ensure timely project delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field is essential;
- Minimum 10 years’ hands-on experience, with 4 or more years at supervisory level in quality assurance, quality management, or process improvement in a corporate or project-driven environment;
- Proven experience in managing multiple large-scale projects and product development initiatives from concept to delivery;
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, including market research, product design, development, and launch;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders;
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, assess system performance, and recommend improvements;
- Strong organizational and project management skills to oversee multiple projects and ensure timely delivery;
- Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or other project management frameworks and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
