To enhance teachers’ ability in applying AI in education and their awareness of cybersecurity, Hong Kong Education City (EdCity) held the ‘Corporate Visit & Practical Cybersecurity Attack-and-Defence Exercise’ on 17 January 2026, as one of the Digital Education Professional Development Activities for Teachers. The event emerged company visit, thematic sharing and hands-on workshop, allowing participants to — through a full day of engaging activities, grasp the latest trends in EdTech applications in the AI era, as well as the new types of risks brought about by cybersecurity and AI. Through live simulations, teachers gained insights into offensive and defensive strategies, and got inspired to connect these insights to school-based application scenarios. The event attracted over 40 teachers and principals, showing an enthusiastic response.
The seminar themed ‘Promote Human-Machine Collaboration, Reduce Children's Overreliance on AI’ organised by Hong Kong Education City (EdCity), took place on 13 December 2025 at the 10th Children's Book Fair. The event featured speakers including Mr Eddie Cheung, Founder and President of the Hong Kong Technology Advancement Group Limited; Dr Yvonne Wong, presenter of a parenting radio programme; and Mr Brian Ho, Head of Service of EdCity. The seminar attracted a large audience of parents and educators.
