Hong Kong Education City (HKEdCity) is pleased to announce that the 2025 Hong Kong ICT Awards (HKICTA): Student Innovation Award is now accepting applications from 22 April to 14 July 2025.
Organised under the auspices of the Government’s Digital Policy Office, the HKICTA has recognised outstanding achievements in information and communications technology since 2006. The award features eight categories, with the Student Innovation Award as a key highlight.
The competition welcomes teams across four educational levels: primary schools, junior secondary schools, senior secondary schools, and tertiary institutions. Participants are encouraged to develop projects addressing one of five themes: promoting wellness, solving social issues, enhancing information literacy, enhancing learning and cultivating nationalism. Winning teams will be honoured with a prestigious trophy and may receive funding support to develop their prototypes. They will also have the exclusive opportunity to showcase their innovations at the Learning & Teaching Expo, connecting with global educators and industry leaders.
For those interested in learning more about the competition, EdCity will conduct a series of briefing sessions and thematic workshops during April and May. To register, please complete the online form, and confirmation details along with meeting links will be sent via email.
