Account and Membership Application

School Administrator

We provide dedicated school-based accounts for registered schools, teachers, and students to facilitate administrative management. School administrators are required to update these accounts on an annual basis and manage all staff and student accounts.

Student

School-based Student Account: Login credentials, including username/emails and password for student accounts are issued by the respective schools to access activity records. Each academic year, schools must update student information to maintain access to EdCity services. If the student transfers or graduates, their old account will be deactivated, and they will no longer have access to their previous activity records.

Student Member: Students can upgrade their school account to a Student Membership for free, which offers the following benefits:

Log in using either their school-issued email or personal email address
Manage their Student Member account details independently
Full access to the EdCity Student App. Learn More
Permanent access to user profiles and activity records, unaffected by grade promotion, transfers or graduation

Teacher

School-based Teacher Account: Login credentials are provided by schools where the teacher is in service. Each academic year, schools must update teacher information to maintain access to EdCity services. If the teacher transfers to another school, their old account will be cancelled, and they won’t be able to access past activity records.

Teacher Member: Teachers can apply a Teacher Membership for free, which offers the following benefits:

The account is personally held by the teacher and won’t be affected when the school updates its accounts.
Full access to professional development opportunities, including free participation in activities, viewing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) videos, and accessing an extensive library of informative resources.
Seamlessly transfer accumulated CPD hours from school-based to membership accounts.
Access student learning data and organise activities in parallel with the school-based account.

Upgrading is straightforward. Simply create a Public Member account and verify your identity as a teacher. Once this step is completed, you can upgrade your public membership account to become a Teacher Member.

Parent/Public Member

Parents and members of the public can register as EdCity members to participate in free seminars and workshops, gain access to information on education, parenting, and child-rearing, watch related videos, and engage in interactive learning games.

Corporate Member

Government departments, non-profit organisations, and private companies are welcome to register as corporate members. Upon approval, corporate members can apply to become partners with EdCity and access a range of valuable benefits:

Collaborate with EdCity to co-host events or develop long-term projects
Promotion support from EdCity for event organisation
Engage with tens of thousands of EdCity members through our platform
Free promotional channels from EdCity, such as ‘Partner Events’ and ‘Event Calendar’

Member Exclusive: Family Link

Elevate your experience by registering or upgrading your membership and enjoy a suite of exclusive benefits. The ‘Family Link’ is the first premium service for members. As a Parent Member, you can create family groups and invite other members, bringing your family closer together.

Easy Login for Seamless Access to EdCity Services

For a better user experience and to meet various needs, members and school-based accounts can log in with flexible options, including:

Username and password
One-Time Password Login: Receive a one-time password via your personal email
QR Code Login (application required for Simple Login Service)

Furthermore, EdCity provides a Single Sign-On (SSO) service called EdConnect, designed for schools, government agencies, non-profits, and private companies. Once approved and set up, members can easily access other related systems using their EdCity accounts. Click here for more detail.
