On 9 March 2024, EdCity’s Executive Director, Mr Ken Ngai Yuen-keung, had the honour to be the officiating guest at the 2023/24 Hong Kong Primary Schools Olympiad in Informatics (HKPSOI). This competition utilises online quizzes and live coding to foster computational thinking and programming skills among primary school students. It also encourages students to apply the fundamental concepts of computer science to problem-solving.

During the awards ceremony, Mr Ngai emphasised the importance of artificial intelligence and problem-solving skills in a rapidly evolving world and how students must be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate this landscape. EdCity, in alignment with his vision, offers specialised online courses in computational thinking and artificial intelligence, designed to help students master programming, computational thinking, AI knowledge, and 21st-century skills that are indispensable for their future endeavours.
