On 9 March 2024, EdCity invited Dr Siu Yan Ho, Lecturer from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Hong Kong Baptist University, to explore Hong Kong’s culinary heritage with parents and students and lead a reading session using picture books, in support of Hong Kong Reading for All Day. The discussion struck a chord with everyone present, inspiring them to channel their imagination into simple creative works. The participants actively shared their thoughts and unique experiences with Hong Kong-style food, delving into the nostalgic flavours that evoked childhood memories and how these flavours varied across different generations.
